Early Morning Fire Destroys Church in Rosharon.

Just before 7 am this morning a fire destroyed the Greater New Macedonia Baptist Church on FM 521 in Rosharon. The church is just to the north of FM1462 where Skydive Spaceland is located. Upon the arrival of the Rosharon fire department, the small wooden building was fully engulfed. Mutual aid was requested from Iowa Colony Fire Dept and Angleton Fire Dept for manpower and water supply. Nobody was in the structure at the time the fire was reported. The cause is not known at this time. Let’s keep in mind the parishioners who have lost their place of worship this morning.
