Don’t Miss This Charity Event On June 26th Benefiting Autistic Adults
Pearland House Concerts is a charity based out of Pearland which hosts concerts in their backyard for the sole purpose of giving the money to a local not-for-profit organization. The monthly concerts are played in the organizers’ backyard for a suggested price of $35 per adult which includes food, water, tea, and a semi-private concert.
This month’s event is dedicated to Rainbow of Hope-Texas which is an organization with the sole purpose of helping the autistic adult population. Once these adults reach the age of 22 years old they are too old to attend public schools and very few organized activities exist for them. Rainbow of Hope Texas was created last year during the beginning of the pandemic by Ann Henderson along with the help of two of her former colleagues.
Rainbow of Hope-Texas is located in Rosharon, not far from SH288 just off of FM 1462 on a 32 acres ranch. With multiple pastures and barns, two horse arenas, tack room, fishing pond, and of course horses and ponies, they provide a serene setting where participants can learn new skills and develop confidence in their growth towards young adulthood.
The Ranch is a busy place with lots of things to do. They are always looking for volunteers to help with horses and the pasture. If you don’t have any plans tomorrow evening I encourage you to go out and help support Rainbow of Hope-Texas.
