Keep An Eye On Kyle Trask

The senior from the Florida Gators has opened eyes this season regarding the 2021 NFL draft. The Manvel High School Mavericks alumni has led the NCAA in many categories including touchdown passes (43) and passing yards per game (375). Trask also became the first player in SEC history and only FBS quarterback in the last 15 seasons to throw at least three touchdown passes in nine consecutive games.

Trask attended Manvel High School, graduating in the class of 2016.  He did not start any games at quarterback after his freshman year during his high school career and was a backup to D’Eriq King. In his senior season he completed 73.4% of his passes (47-64) for 759 yards with ten touchdowns and zero interceptions. Keeping in mind he did not have a single start as QB he also had 18 carries for 49 yards and one touchdown.

He finished fourth for the Heisman Trophy race which nobody saw coming at the beginning of the season. The experts are divided about his draft potential but some players are late bloomers and keep improving under the right circumstances and coaches. Let’s keep an eye on this local athlete during the NFL draft and see where his destiny leads him.
