Thieves Target Manvel Mailbox

Several incidences of mail-related theft in the Houston area could be cause for concerns especially in this era where mail-in voting is strongly pushed. Now we even have thugs holding up postal workers and try to steal their mailbox key. Why are thieves risking their freedom stealing mail when most of everything we do is electronic?? Does not seem to be worth the risk. Recently, in our quiet city, one of the mailboxes at the Manvel Post Office had the bottom door cut out and most likely the mail was stolen. Is it related to the elections?? Are they just looking for checks?? In the meantime, the best way to assure your vote is safe is to go vote in person.

The penalties are severe if you get caught messing with the mail.
