Manvel High School Football to Move Up to 5A Div 1 in 2020.

After dropping from 6A to 5A division II in 2016 following the opening of Shadow Creek High School in Pearland, Manvel High School’s attendance has risen enough to get a little bump back up to Div1. This realignment might be short lived because of the projected opening in 2022 of a new high school in Iowa Colony. It is unclear what the school attendance will look like in 2 years. Alvin ISD has not made its High School zoning public yet with the fourth school under construction. The area around the new High School is getting ready to explode with all the new development. With all that being said, the short lived rivalry with Fort Bend Marshall is already over.
